About WildCard StudiosWildCard Studios builds mobile card and puzzle games, including Spades, Dominoes titles played by players across the US, Brazil and other markets.
The roleWe're hiring a playable ads developer to build our in-house playables pipeline, working day to day with Claude Code as an AI coding partner. You'll build HTML5 playables for our games, using assets and gameplay from their Unity projects, and turn that work into a repeatable way to produce playables quickly.
This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch role, and the pipeline isn't set yet: you'll help decide how we build playables, then build it. You'll work closely with our creative and UA teams, and your playables will run on ad networks like AppLovin, Unity Ads, Mintegral and ironSource.
What you'll do
- * Build HTML5 playable ads that meet ad network specs (single-file HTML, file size limits, MRAID)
- Pull assets, animations and gameplay logic from our games' Unity projects into playables
- Compare approaches (building in HTML5 vs exporting from Unity), recommend one and set up the pipeline
- Use Claude Code to build and iterate on playables, and develop templates and workflows that make production fast and repeatable
- Turn creative briefs into working playables, often several variations of one concept for A/B testing
- Work with the creative lead and UA team to read performance data (IPM, CTR, engagement) and improve the next round
- Document the pipeline so others on the team can use it
What we're looking for
- * 3+ years of HTML5/JavaScript development, with a portfolio of playable ads shipped to ad networks
- Experience with an HTML5 game framework such as Phaser, PixiJS or Cocos
- Solid Unity and C# experience: navigating game projects, extracting assets and logic, and exporting Unity projects as playables (for example with Luna)
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot, and a clear view of where they help and where they need checking
- Comfort with Git, the command line and a clean, modular project structure
- Ability to move fast on short iterations and take ownership of a new system end to end
- Strong spoken and written English.
Nice to have
- * Experience with card, board or puzzle games
- Knowledge of mobile UA and creative testing metrics
- Basic motion design or 2D art skills for quick polish
