Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Flexible Packaging Industry (Kuwait)
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our flexible packaging and printing facility in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting printing, lamination, slitting, and packing line machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery (printing presses, laminators, slitters, packing equipment)
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize downtime
Conduct routine inspections and lubrication schedules per maintenance plans
Perform roll calibrations to ensure accurate tension, alignment, and print/lamination quality
Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive actions
Monitor and report on machine efficiency (OEE/downtime tracking) to identify improvement areas
Coordinate spare parts requirements and maintain maintenance records/logs
Support installation, alignment, and calibration of new or upgraded equipment
Work closely with production and QC teams to ensure machine readiness and output quality
Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues promptly
Requirements:
Skills
Diploma B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in flexible packaging, printing, or related manufacturing industries
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and rotating equipment
Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
Experience with roll calibration techniques and root cause failure analysis
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work in shifts as per operational needs
