Job Summary
The HR Specialist supports daily HR operations and serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, HR compliance, employee engagement, and other people-related programs. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and eager to grow within the HR field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, documentation, system setup, and exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, employee inquiries, and vendor communication.
- Provide payroll-related support by collecting and verifying timesheets, adjustments, and employee data.
- Assist with performance management, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Respond to routine HR policy questions and escalate complex employee relations issues as needed.
- Help ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and required reporting.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and basic analytics for management review.
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and daily administrative tasks.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- 1–3 years of HR experience, or relevant administrative, customer service, or people-facing experience.
- Basic understanding of HR functions and employment laws, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort learning HRIS and other HR tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively with different teams.
