Airon.ai — next-generation AI infrastructure
Be a part of building the company behind the infrastructure that powers the next generation of AI.
Why Airon, why now
Every wave of AI capability rests on the infrastructure beneath it. Airon is building that foundational layer — the compute and capacity that the world's most demanding AI workloads run on.
We are growing fast, working with sophisticated international and US enterprise customers and building the infrastructure required to support increasingly large and demanding AI workloads. This creates challenges — technical, commercial and organizational — that are complex, consequential and evolving in real time.
This is a rare window to join. The market is being defined as we build, the decisions we make now matter, and the people who join us now will have a real opportunity to shape our technology, our craft and our culture from the ground up.
Who we are
A tight-knit, high-energy team where people care about what they build, help each other out and have fun along the way.
We build, own and operate our own AI factory in Lidköping, Sweden, running on 100% renewable power, and sell dedicated bare-metal NVIDIA GPU compute to enterprise customers. Everything from the building to the platform is ours, which is why the engineering here is unusually broad.
The role
As Head of People and Culture, you will build our people function from close to nothing — while we go from a handful of people to a real organisation across two or more locations.
You will work hands-on with recruiting, onboarding, employment practice and organisational development, taking ownership from problem definition through implementation and continuous improvement. You will not simply execute against a predefined plan; you will help decide how Airon grows and how it feels to work here.
You will work closely with our CEO, our Chief of Staff and the leadership team, and with every hiring manager in the company.
What you'll do
- Own your area end-to-end — from problem definition and design through implementation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to decisions that shape how Airon works and how we grow.
- Use AI and modern tools to improve work efficiency.
- Build our recruiting engine — process, employer brand and pipeline — and personally drive hiring while we grow.
- Own onboarding, so that people are productive and part of the team from their first week.
- Put the practical foundation in place: employment terms, policies, work environment, performance and development.
- Work with leadership on organisation design, compensation structure and how we lead as we scale.
- Keep our culture deliberate rather than accidental as headcount grows across sites.
We believe you
- Have built or substantially rebuilt a people function in a growing company, and have done the work yourself rather than only led it.
- Are strong on recruiting, particularly for technical and operational roles in a tight market.
- Know Swedish employment law and practice well enough to keep us compliant without slowing us down.
- Are comfortable being a strategic partner to leadership and the person who fixes the practical things.
- Communicate directly, even under pressure.
- Are open to a flexible and evolving role that might also include more general and coordinating tasks.
- Are comfortable taking work from problem definition to a reliable, working result.
- Can make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality and complexity.
- Are comfortable working hands-on in an international, fast-moving environment.
- Have a genuine interest in using AI and modern tools to improve how work gets done.
Bonus points for
- Hiring across both engineering and industrial or site-based roles.
- Having scaled an organisation from roughly ten to fifty people or more.
- Multi-site or international hiring and employment.
- Experience with collective agreements and union cooperation.
- Employer branding in a competitive technical market.
- Experience working in an early-stage, high-growth or rapidly changing company.
- Experience from technically demanding or industrial environments.
Who you are
- Curious and ambitious, with a genuine interest in understanding how things work.
- Low-ego and action-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Analytical and pragmatic, with the ability to turn complex problems into working solutions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Collaborative and direct, with the ability to explain your decisions clearly.
- Motivated by solving difficult problems and building something that matters.
What's in it for you
A chance to help build the foundational infrastructure behind the next generation of AI — while the market and the technology are still taking shape.
You will work on complex, real-world problems with significant room to influence how Airon builds and how it grows. You will join early enough to make a visible impact, take meaningful ownership and help shape our culture as the company scales.
If you have been looking for a role where the problems are genuinely difficult, the pace is high and what you do has a direct impact — this is it.
Practical
