We are currently hiring a Technical Office Engineer for one of our clients, a growing company specialized in Furniture Manufacturing and Hospitality Projects, based in Mivida, Fifth Settlement – New Cairo.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Office Engineer with strong expertise in Technical Drawings, Shop Drawings, and Woodwork within the furniture manufacturing industry.
The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing detailed technical drawings for wooden furniture, custom-made furniture, and woodwork projects, ensuring that designs are accurate, practical, and suitable for production.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Shop Drawings and Technical Drawings for wooden furniture and woodwork projects.
- Translate design concepts, architectural drawings, and project requirements into accurate production drawings.
- Prepare drawings including dimensions, materials, finishes, sections, details, and assembly information.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure technical accuracy and production feasibility.
- Coordinate with Production, Installation, and Project teams to ensure drawings are suitable for manufacturing and installation.
- Modify and update drawings based on project requirements and design changes.
- Provide technical clarification and support to the production team.
- Identify technical and manufacturing issues before production and propose practical solutions.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Architecture, Production, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Technical Office / Shop Drawings.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in Woodwork and Wood Furniture Manufacturing.
- Strong experience in preparing Shop Drawings and Production Drawings for wooden furniture and woodwork.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking, furniture construction, materials, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing methods.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural, technical, and production drawings.
- AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, contract, or custom-made furniture is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
