How You Will Make An Impact
- * Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities for GIS equipment, including circuit breakers, disconnectors, and earthing switches.
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnostic testing, and preventive maintenance on GIS systems to identify and address potential issues.
- Troubleshoot complex GIS malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Develop and execute maintenance procedures and schedules in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to technicians and engineers on GIS operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams on GIS design reviews, upgrades, retrofits, and modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, testing results, and equipment performance data.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements during GIS operations and maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and recommendations related to GIS performance and reliability.
- Support emergency response activities and provide timely assistance during critical equipment failures, as required.

Your Background
- * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems.
- Strong knowledge of GIS components, operating principles, and common failure modes.
- Proven experience in GIS installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Familiarity with applicable international and national electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Experience with Hitachi Energy GIS products and systems is considered a strong advantage
