- Develop and implement the annual plans for the Engineering Department in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Prepare the annual Engineering Department budget and monitor its implementation throughout the year.
- Prepare estimated budgets and cost analyses for engineering and construction projects to support management approval.
- Contribute to the preparation of feasibility studies for construction, expansion, development, and engineering projects.
- Coordinate and communicate with contractors and suppliers to obtain quotations, technical proposals, and tenders for company projects.
- Evaluate, compare, and recommend contractors’ offers in accordance with the company’s approved procurement procedures and policies.
- Review and audit engineering drawings, designs, specifications, and technical documents for company projects.
- Supervise and follow up on all technical activities, engineering designs, construction works, and project execution.
- Ensure that engineering projects are completed according to approved plans, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead and manage the Engineering team, ensuring effective performance, collaboration, and achievement of departmental objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Engineering Management is preferred.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team of engineers.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to develop work plans and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of engineering projects, construction activities, budgeting, tendering, and contractor management.
