Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Marine & Coastal Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marine and coastal engineering design. The successful candidate will support the delivery of engineering projects involving coastal protection, marine structures, and shoreline development.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform specific and limited portions of broader engineering assignments under the direction of experienced engineers.
* Undertake detailed and routine engineering assignments involving calculations, design development, and relatively simple engineering tests and assessments.
* Gather, review, correlate, and interpret basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
* Assist in the design and engineering of marine and coastal infrastructure.
* Develop engineering approaches and propose solutions to new or unusual technical problems encountered during project execution.
* Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors in engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and results, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
* Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, design notes, drawings, and specifications.
* Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project teams, contractors, and clients as required.
* Provide technical guidance and support to entry-level engineers and junior team members.
* Ensure engineering work is carried out in accordance with applicable standards, project specifications, and company procedures.
* Complete assigned work within agreed budgets, schedules, and quality requirements, with moderate supervision.
* Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and project discussions as required.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering methods, procedures, and design practices.

The candidate should have demonstrated experience in the design of marine and coastal infrastructure, particularly:
* Rock-armoured revetments
* Concrete quay walls
* Artificial beaches and beach nourishment works
* Sheet-pile structures and basic seawalls
* Coastal protection and shoreline stabilization works
* Marine and coastal infrastructure assessments and design calculations
