The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities on construction and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all electrical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily electrical installation and maintenance activities
- Allocate work assignments and monitor the performance of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors
- Ensure all electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Review electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documents before execution
- Monitor project progress and report work status to management
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, clients, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment requirements for site activities
- Conduct troubleshooting and resolve electrical issues during installation and commissioning
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment
- Maintain daily work records, progress reports, and inspection documentation
- Monitor material usage and prevent wastage
- Enforce company HSE policies and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site personnel
Requirements
- * Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction, maintenance, or infrastructure projects
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in commercial, industrial, street lighting, utility, or infrastructure projects is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
