Job Summary
Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the organization’s applications and infrastructure by automating deployment processes, managing CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining cloud and on-prem environments. Act as the key technical resource for optimizing development workflows, resolving complex system issues, and ensuring smooth, reliable, and efficient delivery of software with minimal downtime
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud or hybrid environments, ensuring stability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent, reproducible environment provisioning (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple teams using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Implement automated testing, static code analysis, container builds, and deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, optimize build time, and enforce DevOps best practices.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Datadog).
- Analyze performance data to detect bottlenecks, improve reliability, and prevent downtime.
- Participate in SRE-style processes like error budgeting and incident reviews.
- Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, IaC scanning).
- Apply security patches and updates to infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Manage identity, access controls, and secrets securely.
- Develop advanced automation scripts to reduce manual work and improve system efficiency.
- Implement configuration management for consistent system deployments.
- Optimize cloud and on-prem operational costs through monitoring and right-sizing.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for deployment, infrastructure, and production environment issues.
- Work closely with developers, QA, security, and IT operations teams to streamline releases.
- Document architectures, processes, troubleshooting steps, and DevOps standards.
- Lead segments of DevOps-related projects such as cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, tool adoption, and automation initiatives.
- Evaluate and test new technologies and present recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps workflows and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 2 – 3 years of practical experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or System Automation.
- Strong Command of both Arabic and English Languages With Excellent Communication Skills
- Preferred CertificationsAWS/Azure/GCP Associate-level certifications
- Kubernetes (CKA or CKAD)
- Terraform Associate
- DevOps-specific certifications (Jenkins, Docker, etc.)
