Job Summary
We are looking for a Data Center Operations Engineer / Technician to support the daily operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure. The role will be responsible for rack and stack activities, cabling, equipment checks, environmental monitoring, and coordination with vendors and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rack and stack activities for servers, network, and other IT equipment.
- Install, organize, label, and maintain data center cabling.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and physical checks.
- Monitor power, cooling, PDU, and environmental conditions.
- Support data center facility and infrastructure maintenance activities.
- Monitor fire protection and safety systems and report any issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, cabling, and infrastructure.
- Support preventive maintenance and data center operational activities.
- Follow data center safety, security, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure.
- Experience with rack and stack, cabling, power, PDU, and data center equipment.
- Basic understanding of cooling, environmental, and fire protection systems.
- Good troubleshooting and coordination skills.
- Data Center Technician certification is preferred.
- BICSI, OSHA/HSE, or vendor equipment certifications are an advantage.
