Job Description
Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Prepare and update project cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Track project expenditures, commitments, and actual costs against the budget.
Analyze cost variances and identify potential cost overruns.
Prepare monthly cost control reports and provide management with accurate financial insights.
Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Contracts, and Finance departments to ensure accurate cost tracking.
Review and monitor subcontractor and supplier costs.
Maintain and update cost databases and project cost records.
Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
Support management in identifying opportunities for cost optimization and improvement.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all project-related costs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5–7 years of relevant experience in Cost Control, preferably within the construction/contracting industry.
Strong understanding of project cost management and budget control.
Experience in analyzing cost variances and preparing cost reports.
Good knowledge of construction project processes, contracts, procurement, and subcontracting.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
