Role Objectives:
Drive commercial planning and decision support across commercial teams, combining commercial analysis, financial rigor, and execution ownership to ensure resources are prioritized effectively and efficiently, and key initiatives deliver sustainable business impact. The role acts as a key link across commercial teams and between Growth, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Product, translating data into commercial actions and ensuring decisions are driven through to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own budgeting and forecasting exercise with visibility down to initiative and KPI level, and drive effective budget allocation across commercial teams.
- Support pricing and commercial decisions through scenario analysis, financial modeling and strong commercial judgment.
- Evaluate the ROI and longer-term impact of campaigns, promotions, partnerships and other commercial investments, beyond immediate performance.
- Work with the head of partnerships to build and maintain merchant performance and prioritization frameworks, using revenue, margin, customer usage, growth potential and strategic value to identify where to invest, renegotiate or deprioritize.
- Partner with CVM, Partnerships, Product Marketing and other commercial teams to challenge plans, prioritize initiatives and identify opportunities or corrective actions.
- Provide commercial input into merchant deal economics and incentive budgets, partnering with Finance to validate assumptions, margins and ROI.
- Own the commercial KPI view and single source of truth for key initiatives, targets, budgets and performance.
- Own the execution and follow-through of key cross-functional initiatives and actions, proactively surfacing blockers, dependencies and risks and driving them to resolution.
- Own the ongoing operational and strategic forums (biweekly SteerCo and monthly Trade Review), from agenda and performance consolidation through decisions, accountability and action closure.
- Help establish simple, scalable commercial planning processes for how initiatives are prioritized, approved, tracked and evaluated.
Required Education, Knowledge, And Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial/business planning, strategy, commercial finance or a related role.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with solid financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear commercial recommendations and actions.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management and execution ownership.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions, navigating ambiguity and building new processes.
- Mature, structured, proactive and confident, with a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience in fintech, consumer finance, e-commerce, marketplaces, retail or similar consumer businesses is preferred.
