Job Summary
Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising civil and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor civil works at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Review construction activities, materials, and workmanship to ensure quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.
- Monitor project progress and report any delays, technical issues, or non-conformities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare inspection reports and site records.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Assist in reviewing quantities, measurements, variations, and work progress.
- Coordinate civil works with utilities, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
- Support the Project Manager/Resident Engineer in the successful delivery of the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of overall experience in civil engineering and construction.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE, preferably in infrastructure projects.
- Experience in consultancy supervision is mandatory.
- Strong experience in roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks, or other infrastructure works.
- Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, specifications, and authority requirements.
- Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Strong communication, coordination, and site supervision skills.
