Civil Draftsman
Are you an experienced Civil Draftsman with a strong background in engineering and construction projects? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our growing team and support the delivery of major Oil & Gas EPC, industrial, power, marine, and infrastructure projects.
This role is primarily focused on civil and structural works, requiring expertise in preparing accurate technical drawings and collaborating closely with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
YOUR ROLE
As Civil Draftsman, you will be responsible in the performance of the following but not limited to duties and responsibilities;
Technical Drafting & Drawing Preparation
- Prepare and develop accurate 2D and 3D civil and structural drawings, layouts, plans, sections, details, and schematics using CAD software.
- Produce drawings based on project specifications, engineering calculations, and design requirements.
- Support the preparation and updating of as-built drawings and design revisions.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, company standards, and industry codes.
Project Coordination & Engineering Support
- Coordinate with civil engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in design review meetings and project discussions.
- Provide progress updates and support engineering teams throughout project execution.
Documentation & Version Control
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Follow document control and drawing revision procedures.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard drawing templates, symbols, and blocks.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Review and verify drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Adhere to QA/QC requirements and drafting best practices.
- Support quality audits and implement corrective actions when required.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with emerging drafting technologies and CAD software enhancements.
- Participate in technical training and professional development programs.
- Continuously improve drawing quality, productivity, and technical knowledge.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- Minimum 4-6 years of drafting experience, preferably within Oil and Gas EPC projects, Industrial Construction, Power Plants, Marine Infrastructure, Heavy Civil Projects
Education and Certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline
Skills and Competencies
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit , Civil 3D , Other 2D & 3D drafting/design software
- Sound knowledge of Civil and structural drafting standards, Engineering and construction processes. ASME, API, BS, and other relevant industry standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
