Role Description The Building Materials Sales Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based in Shuwaikh. This position is responsible for assisting customers in selecting appropriate building materials, including paints and related products, while providing accurate product information and guidance. Daily tasks include greeting customers, responding to inquiries in person and by phone, preparing quotations, processing sales transactions, and ensuring proper stock display and inventory checks. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized sales area, coordinating with warehouse and delivery teams, and supporting promotions or product demonstrations as needed. The Sales Attendant is expected to uphold high standards of customer service and communication to contribute to a positive buying experience.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of clients.
* Candidates should possess solid Sales abilities, including product upselling, cross-selling, and closing transactions.
* Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette skills for handling inquiries, follow-ups, and order confirmations.
* Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Paint and related building materials to advise customers on suitable products and applications.
* Basic math skills for pricing and measurements, with attention to detail in quotations and invoices.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and handle moderate physical activity related to stocking and arranging materials.
* Previous experience in retail, hardware, or building materials sales is preferred but not mandatory.
* Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
* High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or vocational training in construction or materials is a plus.
