Working Hours: 9 hours / 5 Days per week

Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with senior developers, frontend teams, and QA to implement high-quality solutions while building skills in architecture, debugging, and best practices for backend development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services with minimal supervision.
- Implement complex business logic and multi-layered architecture (service, repository, domain).
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Design schemas, relationships, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Optimize queries, improve performance, and ensure efficient data handling.
- Work with both SQL and NoSQL solutions based on system needs.
- Integrate external APIs, authentication services, payment gateways, and third-party tools.
- Manage inter-service communication using REST, message queues, or event streaming.
- Handle security, error handling, caching, and API versioning.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests using modern testing frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices for maintainability.
- Apply CI/CD processes to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
- Identify and fix performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure backend systems are secure, implementing authentication, authorization, encryption, and validation.
- Improve system reliability and resilience using logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Work closely with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and architecture discussions.
- Mentor junior developers and support team learning sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of backend development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Node.js, C#/.NET, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of databases, APIs, microservices, and clean architecture.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of authentication, security, caching, and message queues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
