Company Description A leading flexible packaging and printing facility is looking for an experienced Automation Control Technician full-time, on-site role based in Kuwait City to join our team. Role Description
Install, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial control panels on packaging and printing lines
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software faults in automated production equipment
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control diagrams
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems to minimize production downtime
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support process improvements and machine upgrades
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and calibration records
configure, and calibrate sensors, transmitters, controllers, and related equipment to ensure accurate measurements and reliable system performance.
Skills
Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial automation/control systems, ideally in flexible packaging, printing, or a similar manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on high-speed production/converting equipment
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
English required; Arabic a plus
Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and control panels.
Hands-on proficiency with instrumentation, including installation and configuration of sensors and control devices.
Practical experience in calibration of measurement and control instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards for industrial and automation environments.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and interact professionally with clients.
