The Auto A/C Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining automotive air conditioning systems and electrical components in cars, light vehicles, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment. The role ensures all vehicles are maintained in a safe, efficient, and roadworthy condition while adhering to company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults in automotive air conditioning systems using specialized diagnostic equipment
- Repair and replace A/C compressors, condensers, evaporators, blower motors, expansion valves, and related components
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak testing
- Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, alternators, starters, relays, sensors, lighting systems, and control modules
- Install and maintain vehicle electrical accessories such as tracking systems, cameras, reverse sensors, and auxiliary lighting
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on A/C and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using multimeters, scanners, and diagnostic tools
- Ensure proper documentation of completed repairs and maintenance activities
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
- Comply with company HSE policies and workshop safety procedures
Requirements
- * Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certificate in Automotive Electrical or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Auto A/C Electrician in an automotive workshop, fleet maintenance facility, or dealership
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and automotive air conditioning systems
- Experience working with passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment is preferred
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic and testing equipment
- Basic English communication skills
