Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in New Cairo. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing periodic financial statements. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flows, and reconciling bank accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The role involves preparing budgets, tracking expenses for training programs and activities, and assisting with financial forecasts and cost analysis. The Accountant will also support audits, ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies, and collaborate with academic and administrative teams on financial matters.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Ability to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliations.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Knowledge of local accounting standards, basic tax regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to educational or nonprofit settings.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with academic, administrative, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an educational institution, training center, or healthcare-related organization is beneficial.
