Civil Engineer – Insulation & Estimation
ORYX ROYAL GENERAL CONTRACTING L.L.C – S.P.C is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer – Insulation & Estimation to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical and practical experience in EIFS, thermal insulation, waterproofing, plastering, façade works, and construction finishing, with excellent knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, estimation, and project pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Price materials, manpower, equipment, transportation, and other project costs.
Prepare competitive quotations and tender submissions.
Strong knowledge of EIFS and thermal insulation systems.
Calculate insulation boards, adhesive, mesh, base coat, primer, paint, accessories, and labor requirements.
Conduct site visits and verify actual quantities and site conditions.
Coordinate with suppliers to obtain competitive material prices.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
Monitor project costs and compare actual costs against estimates.
Coordinate with project engineers, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Assist with variations, additional works, and payment quantities.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, UAE construction experience preferred, strong knowledge of EIFS / insulation / façade works, excellent AutoCAD, Excel and BOQ skills, and a good understanding of UAE material and labor rates.
