Role overview
The Training Manager is responsible for designing, managing and delivering high-quality corporate training programs while supporting and leading a small team of trainers. The role is both strategic and hands-on, depending on client and business requirements.
Key responsibilities
• Design business and soft-skills training programs tailored to corporate client requirements.
• Conduct and/or oversee training delivery based on program and client needs.
• Manage and support a small team of trainers, including coaching, guidance, quality assurance and professional development.
• Work directly with B2B clients to understand business challenges, conduct training needs assessments and recommend learning solutions.
• Customize existing programs and develop new training content based on client requirements.
• Prepare training materials, facilitator guides, presentations, exercises, assessments and supporting resources.
• Oversee scheduling, coordination and delivery of training programs, ensuring consistent quality standards.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, client feedback and other measurement tools.
• Continuously improve training content and delivery methodologies based on results and market needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, external trainers, consultants and subject-matter experts.
• Stay current with emerging learning methodologies, business trends, technology and L&D best practices. • Support training budget development and management, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Ensure training activities comply with relevant company policies and applicable regulations.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
The successful candidate should combine strong Learning & Development expertise, corporate client management, team leadership and hands-on training experience. Broad exposure across business and softskills topics is preferred over a narrow single-subject profile.
Qualifications & experience
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Learning & Development or a related discipline; Master's degree is an advantage.
• Professional L&D certification such as CPTD, CPLP or equivalent is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in training, Learning & Development or corporate learning.
• Minimum 4 years of managerial or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience designing and delivering business and soft-skills training programs.
• Proven corporate/B2B client-facing training experience is essential.
• Experience conducting training needs assessments and developing customized learning solutions.
• Comfortable both personally delivering training and managing other trainers.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and trainer-management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple programs, clients, schedules and priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with modern training platforms, learning technologies and assessment tools.
• Ideally based in the UAE or KSA, or with strong professional experience in these markets.
• Excellent English is required; Arabic capability and/or significant GCC market experience is advantageous.
