We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantum Measurement Engineer to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to have a meaningful influence on a revolutionary technology. The research effort includes a diverse staff of theoretical and experimental physicists, hardware designers and software engineers around the world. We are seeking an experimental quantum information physicist, applied physicist, or electrical engineer with a background in qubit measurements to participate in the research and development of our qubits.

*Responsibilities** Develop and automate qubit experiments and calibration routines, enabling robust, repeatable, and scalable qubit operation.
* Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and automate quantum measurements, applying machine learning and AI methods where appropriate to maximize measurement throughput and reproducibility.
* Guide cross-team collaboration across Quantum for efficient use of company expertise and work across teams and ensure contact with others. You’ll document work and make available internally and externally to the team to leverage work across teams.
* Communicate results, insights and recommendations clearly to multidisciplinary audiences, enabling data-driven decisions across teams.
* Model and maintain safety and security practices and compliance with policies.

*QualificationsRequired Qualifications Doctorate in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND experience in industry or in a research and development environment, could include completion of a post doctoral research position OR Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND solid experience in industry or in a research and development environment OR Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND significant experience in industry or in a research and development environment OR equivalent industry experience.
* Experience with low-noise electronic measurements (lockin amplifiers, analog pre-amps, etc.), cryogenic techniques (He3 cryostats or dilution refrigerators) or electrical transport characterization (for semiconductors, dielectrics, and superconductors).
*Other Requirements:*Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

- Ability to leverage AI tools to drive innovation and efficiency (e.g., performance modeling and analysis, research gathering, day to day task automation).
- Ability to design and build AI agents/copilots that assist with experiment setup, log triage, measurement report generation, protocol templating, and knowledge retrieval (e.g. instrument manuals, design docs)
*Preferred Qualifications (PQs)*- Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND significant experience in industry or in a research and development environment
* OR Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND solid experience in industry or in a research and development environment
* OR Doctorate in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND significant experience in industry or in a research and development environment, could include completion of a post doctoral research position
* OR equivalent experience
* Solid experience with RF reflectometry measurements and time-domain control of qubits.
* Experience in leveraging AI / ML tools to accelerate qubit bring-up and tuning.
* Experience building automated, production-quality data and analysis pipelines.
* Experience in developing code in a version-controlled environment (git, svn).
* Experience with the physics of Majorana bound states and topological properties of matter

Quantum Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Netherlands is € 78,800.00 - € 133,300.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Quantum Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Denmark is kr 715,600.00 - kr 1,201,100.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
