Senior Architectural Engineer
Job description:
Staying up to date with the latest architectural codes & standards.
Continuous follow-up with the Design manager & Project Engineers to ensure that the
Team's targets are achieved.
Efficient review of architectural designs and spatial layouts.
The provision of sound and reliable technical advice.
Efficient review of material submittals and architectural finishes.
Inspection of work progress and quality of the architectural works performed.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Review designs submitted by the consultants and make sure that they are as per the
latest standards and project requirements.
Review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy,
feasibility, and constructability.
Conduct thorough coordination checks across architectural drawings, structural
drawings, and MEP drawings to resolve discrepancies, levels, and clashes prior to site
execution.
Ensure that procedure for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety
in project designs is in place and implemented.
Coordinate with other discipline reviewers to integrate architectural designs with
engineering and other technical aspects.
Review the requests for information (RFls), and proposed design changes
Reviewing bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates received from consultants
against the architectural drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Ensure that proposed designs comply with local building codes, sustainability criteria,
and zoning regulations.
Propose alternative design and value engineering solutions to render the projects
viable and within allocated budgets.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
Extensive experience with architectural design and detailing.
Experience with Commercial, Administrative, and Residential buildings.
A strong command of AutoCAD, Photoshop,3D Max, MS Office, and project
planning tools.
Strong communication skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of safety standards, environmental impact, and sustainable design criteria.
