The roleWe are recruiting two experienced expatriate paramedics to provide single-position medical cover for a major international energy operator at an oilfield site in Basra Governorate, Iraq. The two paramedics will work back to back on a 28 days on / 28 days off rotation.
As the sole on-site clinician, you will support a population of up to 40 personnel, and:
What You’ll Need* Current registration as a paramedic (or equivalent) in the UK (HCPC), South Africa (HPCSA), Australia (AHPRA), Canada or the USA * At least 5 years of recent experience in emergency department, ICU, trauma, pre-hospital or remote/offshore medicine * Current ACLS and ATLS (or recognised equivalents such as PHTLS or ITLS at advanced level) * Demonstrated competence in: + IV and central access and fluid management + Advanced airway management, intubation and emergency surgical airway + Chest decompression and thoracic drains + 12-lead ECG interpretation and ACS management + Defibrillation, cardioversion and pacing + Penetrating chest and abdominal wounds + Severe trauma and burns + Infectious disease management
