Project Manager – Fire Protection Systems
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Fire Protection Systems to plan, manage, execute, and deliver fire protection projects from project initiation through completion. The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in fire protection systems, with strong knowledge of project management, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and client coordination.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing multiple fire protection projects, supervising project teams, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved specifications and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete lifecycle of fire protection system projects from planning to final handover.
Review project scope, specifications, drawings, BOQs, contracts, and technical requirements.
Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower requirements, material requirements, and budgets.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
Supervise the installation and execution of fire protection systems, including:
Fire Alarm Systems
Fire Fighting Systems
Sprinkler Systems
Fire Pumps and Pump Rooms
Standpipe and Hose Reel Systems
Fire Hydrant Systems
FM-200 / Clean Agent Systems
Foam Fire Suppression Systems
Water Mist Systems
Other Fire & Life Safety Systems
Ensure all installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
Coordinate technical submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, method statements, inspection requests, and project documentation.
Monitor project progress and take corrective action to address delays, technical issues, and resource constraints.
Lead project engineers, supervisors, technicians, and other project personnel.
Ensure proper manpower planning and efficient utilization of project resources.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspection, and final handover of fire protection systems.
Attend technical and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and additional works.
Review and approve project-related technical and commercial documents within assigned authority.
Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and company safety procedures.
Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Maintain proper project records, progress reports, and documentation.
Ensure timely completion of punch-list items and project closeout activities.
Support the business development and estimation teams when required by providing technical and project-related input.
Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain professional relationships with clients and consultants.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Fire Protection Systems.
Proven experience as a Project Manager / Project Engineer in fire protection projects.
Strong practical knowledge of fire protection system installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of relevant fire protection codes and standards such as NFPA and applicable local requirements.
Experience managing project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities.
Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and documentation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure, oil & gas, utility, or government projects.
Experience dealing with consultants, main contractors, and major clients.
Experience with Saudi Arabian fire protection standards, project requirements, and authority approvals.
Knowledge of Civil Defense / local authority requirements is preferred.
Relevant professional certifications in project management or fire protection will be an advantage.

Mandatory Requirement:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection Systems is mandatory. Candidates without sufficient fire protection systems experience will not be considered.
