We're building a couture atelier from the ground up — and we need two exceptional people to build it with us.
Right now, this is a hands-on role. We work on paper — drafting by hand, trueing patterns, marking and cutting cloth at the table with our tailors. As we grow into production, we'll transition into CAD and digital pattern making. So we need someone who is a master of the hand first, and can lead that shift when the time comes — not someone who only knows the screen.
This is not a desk-only job. This is not a CAD-only job. If your pattern making happens only on a computer, this isn't the role. But if you cut by hand the way couture has always done it, and you're ready to take us into CAD when we scale — you're exactly who we're looking for.
• Deep, hands-on experience in bridal and haute couture
• Fluent in hand drafting and paper pattern making — the old way, done properly
• Strong women's wear; menswear a serious plus; casual/ready-to-wear welcome
• Technically rigorous: fit, construction, fabric behavior, grading
• CAD/digital pattern making skills — to be used as we move into production
• Works on the floor with the tailors, leading and correcting, not removed from the workroom
Our tailors already have cutting skill — we need the person who leads them and gets it right.
