Role Description The Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of all kitchen and heavy catering equipment across the resort’s food and beverage outlets. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing equipment issues, performing troubleshooting, carrying out preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role also involves coordinating with kitchen and engineering teams, maintaining maintenance logs, and supporting compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai in Dubai.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills, with experience servicing kitchen and heavy catering equipment.
* Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in kitchen systems.
* Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to coordinate with culinary, engineering, and vendor teams.
* Candidates should possess knowledge of safety standards, basic electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
* Formal technical training, certification, or diploma in engineering, mechanical, or electrical fields is beneficial.
* Previous experience as a kitchen equipment technician or similar role in hotels, resorts, or commercial kitchens is preferred.
* Ability to work shifts, respond to urgent maintenance requests, and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
* Proficiency in English; additional languages commonly used in Dubai are an advantage.
