Role Summary: The Junior PHP Developer supports the development and maintenance of web applications by assisting with bug fixing, feature development, database queries, API integration, and application testing. The role is suitable for fresh graduates or junior developers with a good foundation in programming, web development, and databases.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain web applications using PHP.
· Assist in developing new modules and features.
· Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs.
· Write and maintain SQL queries.
· Work with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.
· Develop and consume REST APIs.
· Support integration with internal and external systems.
· Perform basic testing before deploying changes.
· Participate in code reviews with senior developers.
· Maintain clear, structured, and understandable source code.
· Use Git or other source-control tools.
· Follow company development standards, procedures, and coding practices.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 1–3 years of development experience
· Fresh graduates with relevant university or personal projects may be considered.
· Practical knowledge of PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is a must.
· Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
· Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
· Understanding of web applications, client/server architecture, HTTP methods, JSON, and REST APIs.
· Familiarity with Git or another source-control system.
· Ability to understand and modify existing code.
· Good analytical, problem-solving, and learning skills.
· Knowledge of Laravel, Composer, Bootstrap, AJAX, jQuery, Postman, Docker, MySQL, SQL Server, or application security is considered an advantage.
