Project Designer – Interior Design
Dubai | Up to AED 20,000 per month
We are looking for a mid-level Project Designer to join an established interior design studio in Dubai.
This role would suit someone who is strong technically and enjoys the coordination and delivery side of interior design. You will work across projects from scheme design into SD and DD, coordinating closely with clients, consultants, suppliers and the wider design team.
The studio works across a broad range of sectors including commercial offices, residential developments, private residential, hospitality, retail and F&B.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scheme design and SD/DD packages
- Independent space planning in response to client briefs
- Coordinate with clients, MEP consultants and other sub-consultants
- Review joinery and millwork packages
- Review and coordinate MEP drawings against interior layouts
- Select materials and specifications in line with project budgets
- Liaise with suppliers and external design teams
- Carry out site and joinery inspections
- Resolve technical and buildability issues
- Take responsibility for the development and coordination of assigned project packages
Requirements
- 3–6 years’ experience within interior design
- Strong technical and detailing capabilities
- Experience taking projects through SD and DD stages
- Good consultant and client coordination skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Good understanding of joinery, materials and buildability
- Strong communication and organisational skills
The position offers exposure across multiple sectors and a clear progression route towards Senior Designer.
