Senior Specialist – Employee Engagement
Role Purpose
The Senior Specialist – Employee Engagement is responsible for designing, implementing and continuously improving employee engagement initiatives across the Group. The role will support a positive, inclusive and high-performance workplace culture by translating employee feedback and organisational priorities into practical engagement programmes and measurable actions.
The role will work closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders and employees to identify engagement opportunities, deliver initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement Strategy & Programmes
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives aligned with the Group’s culture, values and people strategy.
- Plan and coordinate annual employee engagement calendars, campaigns, activities and initiatives across the organisation.
- Develop initiatives that strengthen employee connection, recognition, wellbeing, collaboration and organisational culture.
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders to ensure engagement initiatives are relevant to different employee populations and business units.
- Support the implementation of employee engagement frameworks, policies and processes.
Employee Listening & Insights
- Lead and coordinate employee engagement surveys, pulse surveys and other employee listening mechanisms.
- Analyse survey results, employee feedback and engagement data to identify trends, concerns and improvement opportunities.
- Translate employee feedback into practical action plans in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Track and report progress against engagement action plans and agreed initiatives.
- Conduct focus groups, feedback sessions and other qualitative listening activities where required.
Recognition & Employee Experience
- Support the design and implementation of employee recognition programmes and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve key employee experience touchpoints throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Support initiatives related to employee wellbeing, inclusion, collaboration and organisational culture.
- Coordinate employee events, campaigns and internal engagement activities where required.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Develop engaging communication materials and campaigns to support employee engagement initiatives.
- Work closely with internal communications and HR teams to ensure consistent messaging and employee reach.
- Build strong relationships with HR stakeholders, managers and employees across different levels of the organisation.
- Support leaders and managers in understanding employee feedback and translating it into meaningful actions.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and monitor engagement KPIs and metrics.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards highlighting engagement trends, programme outcomes and areas requiring attention.
- Benchmark employee engagement practices and identify relevant external trends and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve engagement initiatives based on data, feedback and business requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline.
- 6–8 years of relevant HR experience, with strong hands-on experience in employee engagement, employee experience, organisational culture or a closely related area.
- Experience managing employee engagement surveys and translating results into actionable initiatives.
- Proven experience designing and implementing employee engagement programmes rather than purely coordinating activities.
- Strong experience working with HR stakeholders and business leaders.
- Experience analysing HR data, engagement results and employee feedback.
- Experience in a large, complex or industrial/manufacturing organisation would be an advantage.
