Rely Capital is an emerging Stockholm-based private equity platform preparing for launch in March 2027.
We’re developing a SEK 150 million annual investment programme with prospective Middle Eastern investment partners, focused on acquiring and scaling Nordic businesses through a disciplined buy-and-build strategy.
The investment capital is not yet committed, and the platform is currently being established.
We’re assembling a founding team of 3–4 senior private equity professionals who want to do more than execute someone else’s investment thesis.
This is an opportunity to shape the investment firm from day one.
THE MANDATE
As a Founding Investment Director, you’ll help build both the investment portfolio and the firm itself.
Your responsibilities will include:
Deal Origination: Leverage your established network to identify proprietary and off-market investment opportunities.
Investment Strategy: Develop sector-focused buy-and-build theses and identify attractive platform acquisitions.
Transaction Leadership: Lead valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiations and transaction execution.
Value Creation: Work alongside portfolio CEOs to accelerate growth, operational improvements and add-on acquisitions.
Firm Building: Establish investment processes, governance, investor relationships and the foundation of a scalable PE platform.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
15+ years of private equity experience. Real deals. Real relationships. Real judgment.
We’re looking for investors who bring:
A demonstrated track record of originating, executing and exiting investments.
An influential network of founders, investors, advisors and intermediaries.
Deep expertise in LBO modeling, valuation, capital structures and investment committees.
Experience executing buy-and-build strategies and driving portfolio value creation.
The entrepreneurial ambition to build an investment platform from the ground up.
An established Nordic network is particularly valuable.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
Position: Founding Investment Director / Partner Track
Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid)
Target Launch: March 2027
Base Salary: SEK 170,000–200,000/month
Investment Ambition: SEK 150M annually, subject to fundraising
Strategy: Nordic Buy-and-Build
Openings: 3–4 founding positions
The opportunity offers significant influence over investment strategy, portfolio construction and the development of the firm.
Compensation and appointments are subject to successful establishment and funding of the platform. Potential long-term participation arrangements may be discussed as the structure develops.
