Consultant – Management Consultancy
Experience: 1–3 Years OR 3-5 years
Location: Dammam, KSA
About the Role
We are looking for an analytically strong, commercially minded professional to join our Management Consultancy practice.
Our assignments span business and investment advisory, market and feasibility studies, strategy and business planning, organizational transformation, and performance improvement. We work across multiple industries, with significant exposure to energy, infrastructure, industrial and engineering-intensive businesses.
The role offers an opportunity to work on diverse consulting engagements, often involving complex business problems that require a combination of financial, commercial, operational and strategic analysis.
We are particularly interested in individuals who can look beyond the immediate assignment, understand the underlying business problem, and develop structured, evidence-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to engagements involving:
• Business and investment advisory: Developing business plans, conducting feasibility studies, evaluating investment opportunities, and assessing the commercial and financial viability of proposed ventures.
• Financial analysis and modelling: Building and reviewing financial models, developing forecasts, evaluating alternative scenarios, and conducting investment appraisals.
• Market and commercial assessments: Undertaking market research, demand and supply analysis, competitor assessments, industry benchmarking, and value-chain analysis.
• Strategy and business planning: Supporting the formulation of business strategies, evaluating growth opportunities, and translating strategic objectives into actionable business plans.
• Organizational and operational improvement: Assessing operating models, organizational structures, business processes, policies and procedures, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Performance and financial assessments: Analysing business and project performance, cost structures, operating efficiencies, and commercial arrangements.
• Consulting deliverables: Preparing analytical reports, business cases, management presentations, and recommendations supported by quantitative and qualitative evidence.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
Professional background
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in management consulting, business advisory, transaction advisory, corporate strategy, financial advisory, or a comparable analytical role.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• An MBA or a professional qualification such as CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
• Prior exposure to energy, industrial, infrastructure, or capital-intensive businesses would be an advantage, although we are equally interested in candidates from other sectors.
Analytical and technical capabilities
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities, including proficiency in financial analysis and Excel-based financial modelling.
• Ability to undertake independent research, interpret information from multiple sources, and draw commercially meaningful conclusions.
• Understanding of fundamental business concepts, including financial statements, business models, cost structures, investment appraisal, and market dynamics.
• Ability to structure complex or unfamiliar problems into manageable analytical components.
• Proficiency in preparing professional reports and presentations, particularly using PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools would be an added advantage.
Personal attributes
Beyond technical qualifications, we place considerable emphasis on how a candidate approaches problems.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
• Intellectual curiosity: A genuine interest in understanding how businesses, industries, and markets function.
• Structured thinking: The ability to break down complex problems, identify relevant variables, and establish a logical approach to analysis.
• Commercial awareness: An appreciation of the practical financial and operational implications of business decisions.
• Independent judgement: The confidence to question assumptions, challenge inconsistencies, and develop conclusions based on evidence.
• Adaptability: The willingness and ability to work across different industries, subject matters, and types of assignments.
• Clear communication: The ability to translate detailed analysis into concise, coherent, and actionable recommendations.
• Ownership: A proactive approach to responsibilities, with attention to accuracy, quality, and deadlines.
What Makes This Opportunity Different?
This is not a narrowly defined financial modelling, research, or strategy role.
Our consultants are exposed to the full spectrum of business advisory assignments, frequently working at the intersection of commercial, financial, operational, and technical considerations.
A candidate may be involved in assessing the feasibility of an industrial investment on one assignment, evaluating a business’s operating model on another, and developing a strategic business plan on the next.
We therefore value versatility, analytical depth, and the ability to learn unfamiliar subject matter quickly over narrow specialization.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to work closely with experienced consultants, interact with clients, and progressively assume greater responsibility for individual workstreams and consulting deliverables.
