Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Consultant Anaesthetist role based in Salmiya. The Consultant Anaesthetist will provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing elective and emergency surgical procedures, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative pain control. Daily responsibilities include evaluating patient fitness for anesthesia, selecting appropriate anesthetic techniques, monitoring patients during procedures, and coordinating with surgeons and other clinical staff to ensure safe perioperative care. The role also involves managing critically ill patients requiring anesthesia or sedation, participating in intensive care decision-making, and responding to emergencies such as resuscitation and rapid response calls. Additional tasks may include mentoring junior medical staff, contributing to clinical protocols, and participating in quality and safety initiatives within the department.
