We are looking for skilled and motivated Pastry Commis Chefs – Levels 1, 2 and 3 to join our lifestyle brands in Dubai.
The Pastry Commis Chef will support the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries and bakery products according to approved recipes and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare desserts, pastries, creams, sauces, garnishes and bakery products.
- Follow approved recipes, measurements, portioning and presentation standards.
- Complete pastry mise en place accurately and on time.
- Support senior pastry chefs during preparation and service.
- Maintain consistency in flavour, texture and presentation.
- Monitor ingredient freshness, labelling, storage and stock rotation.
- Assist with portion control and waste reduction.
- Maintain a clean, organised and properly stocked pastry section.
- Follow HACCP, hygiene and food-safety requirements.
- Support other pastry and bakery tasks when required.
Ideal Candidate
- Culinary or pastry training, or relevant professional pastry experience.
- Previous experience within a restaurant, hotel, bakery or pastry kitchen.
- Knowledge of plated desserts, pastries, creams, cakes or bakery preparation.
- Exposure to an upscale, fine-dining or high-volume operation is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, consistency and presentation.
- Good teamwork, organisation and willingness to learn.
- Previous UAE or GCC experience is advantageous.
