Job Purpose
The Central Region Placement Manager, Health & Benefits is responsible for managing insurer and healthcare provider relationships, delivering effective placement strategies, and securing competitive health and employee benefits solutions for clients across the Central Region.
The role works closely with Client Managers, Consultants, and the Head of Placement to ensure optimal market outcomes, strong insurer partnerships, and the successful delivery of both local and multinational employee benefits programmes.

What the day will look like:
Placement & Market Management
- Develop and execute placement strategies for new business and existing client portfolios.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and coverage with insurers and healthcare providers.
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare market quotations to ensure competitive and client-focused solutions.
- Support the development of innovative benefits programmes aligned to client needs.
- Maintain strong market awareness of insurer appetite, market capacity, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities.
Carrier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regional and international insurers and healthcare providers.
- Participate in insurer review meetings and performance discussions.
- Act as a key point of contact between the business and carrier partners.
- Support insurer partnership initiatives and market engagement activities.
- Monitor insurer service delivery and escalate concerns where appropriate.
Multinational Pooling & Global Programmes
- Support the placement and servicing of multinational pooling arrangements and regional employee benefits programmes.
- Liaise with global network partners and multinational carriers to ensure seamless program delivery.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to expand multinational solutions within the client portfolio.
- Ensure client programmes remain compliant with local market requirements and global standards.
Client Support & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Client Managers and Consultants to develop effective placement strategies.
- Provide technical placement support for client presentations, renewals, and prospect opportunities.
- Attend client meetings as required to discuss market conditions and placement recommendations.
- Support the retention of existing business and acquisition of new business through effective market engagement
Governance, Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure all placement activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate placement documentation and market records.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client service delivery.
- Contribute to placement reporting, analytics, and insurer performance monitoring.
Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Share market intelligence and insurer insights with colleagues across the region.
- Support the development of junior team members through coaching and knowledge transfer.
- Contribute to regional and global placement initiatives and best practice sharing.
Skills & Experience that will lead to success
Experience
- Experience within Health & Benefits, Employee Benefits, Insurance Broking, Healthcare Funding, or Risk Consulting.
- Proven experience negotiating with insurers and healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of medical insurance, employee benefits, and healthcare market dynamics.
- Exposure to multinational employee benefits programmes and insurer relationship management would be advantageous.
