Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supervising all accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities.
- Preparing and reviewing budgets, trial balances, and financial statements.
- Calculating and processing the following with accuracy and compliance:
- Work earnings tax
- Withholding and addition tax
- Value-added tax (VAT)
- Sourcing tax
- Conducting cost accounting analysis and managing cost centers effectively.
- Handling general ledger entries using the American Journal method.
- Ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Supporting internal audits and external audit preparations.
- Maintaining records in Odoo accounting system and ensuring system updates are accurately reflected.
- Collaborating closely with management on financial strategy, reporting, and forecasting.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 0–3 years of experience in accounting.
- Solid understanding of Egyptian tax laws, cost accounting, and compliance.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Odoo ERP and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of cost centers, budget management, and tax compliance.
- Experience with the American journal system is highly preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
