Role Description The Accountant will work on-site in Lebanon in a full-time capacity, managing daily financial and accounting tasks. Responsibilities include recording and reconciling financial transactions, preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The role involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations. The Accountant will monitor accounts payable and receivable, assist with tax-related documentation, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners such as auditors and banks. This position requires consistent attention to detail, timely reporting, and proactive identification of discrepancies or process improvements.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of spreadsheets, formulas, and basic data analysis.
Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and bank statements accurately and on schedule.
4-5 years experience
Understanding of local tax requirements, regulatory compliance, and audit processes in Lebanon.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are an advantage.
Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably within an offshore services or corporate environment.
