Role Description The Senior Freight Forwarder is a full-time, on-site role based in Beirut. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end freight forwarding operations, including coordinating shipments, preparing export documentation, and arranging freight transportation by various modes. The Senior Freight Forwarder will handle booking and routing, track and trace shipments, resolve logistics issues, and ensure timely delivery in line with customer and regulatory requirements. The role also involves maintaining strong customer service standards, liaising with carriers and customs brokers, optimizing costs, and providing status updates and reports to internal stakeholders and clients. The individual will collaborate closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate billing, compliance with trade regulations, and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Freight Forwarding and Forwarding, with experience managing complex international shipments.
- Hands-on experience with Export procedures, including documentation, customs requirements, and trade compliance.
- Proficiency in Freight Transportation coordination across air, sea, and land, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining client relationships.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Beirut, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy under time constraints.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding or logistics; a degree or certification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage.
