Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, strategic, and execution-focused Vice President of Project Management to lead the company's global Project Management organization and drive successful execution of strategic business initiatives.
The VP of Project Management will be responsible for project strategy, program execution, portfolio management, PMO governance, resource planning, budget management, risk management, and operational performance.
This executive will work closely with Engineering, Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure critical projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Management Strategy
- * Develop and execute the company's global Project Management strategy.
- Establish project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Align project priorities with corporate strategy and business objectives.
- Develop scalable project management frameworks and operating models.
- Establish project governance and decision-making processes.

Strategic Project & Program Management
- * Lead high-impact strategic projects and complex cross-functional programs.
- Oversee project planning, execution, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects remain aligned with scope, timelines, budgets, and business objectives.
- Manage dependencies across departments and business units.
- Resolve major project issues and execution challenges.

PMO Leadership & Governance
- * Build and lead a scalable Project Management Office (PMO).
- Establish project governance, reporting, and performance standards.
- Implement project review and portfolio management processes.
- Monitor project health, milestones, risks, and resource requirements.
- Provide executive-level project reporting and recommendations.

Resource & Budget Management
- * Develop project resource and capacity planning strategies.
- Allocate personnel and resources across strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Finance on project budgets, forecasts, and financial controls.
- Monitor project spending and resource utilization.
- Optimize project investments based on business priorities.

Risk & Issue Management
- * Identify and evaluate project, operational, financial, and delivery risks.
- Establish risk management and mitigation frameworks.
- Monitor critical project risks and dependencies.
- Lead escalation and resolution of high-impact issues.
- Ensure appropriate contingency and recovery plans are established.

Cross-Functional Leadership
- * Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Technology, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
- Establish effective communication across project stakeholders.
- Facilitate executive and cross-functional project reviews.
- Align teams around project priorities, timelines, and outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with senior executives and business leaders.

Project Performance & Continuous Improvement
- * Establish project KPIs and performance measurement frameworks.
- Monitor delivery timelines, quality, costs, and business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve project execution and operational efficiency.
- Implement process improvements and project management best practices.
- Use data and analytics to improve project decision-making and predictability.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- * Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing project management professionals.
- Build a strong global Project Management organization.
- Establish career paths, competency frameworks, and leadership development programs.
- Set performance standards and OKRs for project management teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, execution, and continuous improvement.
QualificationsEducation
- * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- MBA or Master's degree preferred.
Experience 20+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, Program Management, Operations, or related functions.
* 10+ years* of senior leadership experience managing Project Management organizations.
* Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects and programs.
* Experience managing global or multi-regional project portfolios.
* Strong experience with project governance, budgets, resources, timelines, and risk management.
* Demonstrated experience building or scaling PMO organizations.
* Strong ability to communicate with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
