Role Description:
The Tendering Engineer – Mechanical is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza. The role involves preparing and reviewing mechanical tenders, including cost estimates, technical proposals, and bid documentation for HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other mechanical systems. The Tendering Engineer will analyze project specifications and drawings, conduct quantity take-offs, request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, and ensure competitive and compliant bids. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project teams, clarifying technical queries, and updating management on tender status and risk assessments. The role also includes maintaining tender documentation, contributing to value engineering options, and supporting contract negotiations when required.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical engineering background, with experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and related building services.
- Proficiency in tendering activities, including cost estimation, quantity surveying, and preparing technical and commercial proposals.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents, using relevant design and estimation tools.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and clients in a collaborative environment.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experience in construction or electromechanical contracting, MEP projects.
- Familiarity with regional standards, codes, and tendering practices in the Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Giza and manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
