Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Developer role based in Baghdad. The Software Developer will design, implement, test, and maintain software solutions that support NDC’s platforms and services. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, collaborating with other developers and technical teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and participating in code reviews. The role involves integrating back-end services and APIs, optimizing performance and security, and documenting technical specifications. The Software Developer will also help improve existing systems, contribute to technical discussions, and support the deployment and monitoring of applications in production environments.
Qualifications
* Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
* Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
* Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP principles to design and implementation.
* Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating server-side logic.
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
* Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and write clear technical documentation.
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience with security best practices, performance optimization, and deployment in production environments is an advantage.
* Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving technologies and standards in government and enterprise IT.
