As a Senior Technical Engineer you will design, deliver, and support secure, reliable, and high-quality end-user computing services across Emirates Group. The role is for a Senior Technical Engineer in the End User Technology team, responsible for the lifecycle and ongoing improvement of Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, rugged devices, and the corporate printer estate. The Senior Technical Engineer will work with business stakeholders and technology teams to introduce new device hardware and services, maintain alignment with technology roadmaps and enterprise standards, minimise technical debt, and provide Level 3 support for assigned platforms.
In This Role You Will
- * Develop IT Solutions that meet customer requirements. Ensure that the design is robust, appropriate and of high quality and conforming to corporate standards and in line with the technical strategy.
- Ensure that the developed architecture/solution meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability.
- Develop solutions architecture for assigned projects with the established EA standards and also support the development of technology advancements and adaptation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with other IT Technology teams to implement ongoing monitoring of the relevant technology to ensure level 1 & 2 incidents are configured within EMS.
- Guide Project Manager/Technology team managers for solution definition, technical design and development of in-house developed solutions. These are to be delivered as per agreed costs and timescales to meet signed-off functional, technical and process requirements.
- Ensure that assigned incidents are resolved within the agreed service levels and problems are defined and analysed in line with the Problem Management Process. Ensure that solutions to problems meet the architectural and security standards within the technology area and that impact on the business is minimised. Own and manage changes within the technology area.
- Publish and maintain high-quality documentation and data catalogue for the technology area. Working within the standard templates and documentation guidelines which includes detailed design, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals and deployments architecture to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and governance across systems..
- Manage end-of-life replacement of equipment and/or software within the technology area to ensure conformance to technical standards and support the technology initiatives and directions.
- Ensure the process and enhancement specifications are translated into effective programs with error-free code using the enterprise development tools, methods and languages.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years working in a related IT Engineering.
Knowledge/ Skills
- Expert in endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Entra ID.
- Skilled in Windows 11, macOS, iOS, Android, and rugged devices.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace, and endpoint security.
- Skilled in application deployment, patching, compliance, and device lifecycle management.
- Experienced in enterprise printing and printer estate management.
- Knowledgeable in Active Directory, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and endpoint security controls.
- Skilled in technical design, automation, and service improvement.
- Knowledgeable in AI productivity tools, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, and related workplace AI technologies.
- Experienced in Level 3 support, problem management, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong technical documentation and stakeholder management skills.
