The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Advisor to provide strategic and practical advice on regulatory requirements, regulatory developments, licensing obligations, compliance implementation, regulatory engagement, and business-impact assessments.
The ideal candidate will monitor regulatory developments, interpret complex requirements, advise stakeholders on regulatory implications, coordinate regulatory submissions and approvals, support regulatory relationships, and help ensure business activities remain aligned with applicable laws, regulations, licenses, and supervisory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- * Provide senior-level regulatory advice to business leaders, management, and functional teams.
- Monitor laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, supervisory expectations, and industry developments relevant to the organization.
- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning and identify emerging regulatory requirements and risks.
- Interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business guidance.
- Assess the potential impact of new and amended regulations on products, services, processes, systems, and operations.
- Develop regulatory impact assessments and implementation recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive regulatory obligation registers and regulatory inventories.
- Map regulatory requirements to relevant policies, processes, controls, systems, and accountable owners.
- Identify regulatory gaps, inconsistencies, and areas requiring enhanced controls.
- Support the development and implementation of regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Review and update regulatory policies, procedures, standards, and internal guidance.
- Advise on regulatory requirements affecting new products, services, markets, business models, and strategic initiatives.
- Support regulatory assessments during product launches, business expansions, restructurings, acquisitions, and operational changes.
- Provide regulatory guidance during the design and implementation of new processes and operating models.
- Support licensing, registration, authorization, renewal, and regulatory approval processes.
- Coordinate regulatory applications, submissions, notifications, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain records of regulatory licenses, permissions, conditions, commitments, and renewal requirements.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with regulatory license conditions and supervisory requirements.
- Coordinate responses to regulatory requests, information demands, questionnaires, and supervisory inquiries.
- Prepare regulatory correspondence, briefing materials, submissions, reports, and formal responses.
- Review regulatory submissions for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and appropriate supporting evidence.
- Coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams on interpretation of regulatory requirements and obligations.
- Support regulatory engagement with authorities, supervisors, agencies, and other relevant external bodies.
- Prepare management and business stakeholders for regulatory meetings, examinations, reviews, and discussions.
- Develop briefing notes, talking points, regulatory position papers, and meeting materials.
- Maintain professional and constructive relationships with regulatory stakeholders where appropriate.
- Track regulatory commitments, undertakings, remediation actions, and supervisory requirements through completion.
- Monitor regulatory findings and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Support regulatory inspections, examinations, thematic reviews, and supervisory assessments.
- Coordinate preparation of evidence, documentation, data, policies, procedures, and responses required for regulatory reviews.
- Assess regulatory examination findings and develop appropriate remediation plans.
- Monitor remediation progress and escalate overdue or high-risk regulatory actions.
- Conduct regulatory compliance reviews and assessments across relevant business activities.
- Support regulatory risk assessments and identify areas of heightened supervisory attention.
- Analyze regulatory trends, enforcement developments, consultation papers, and industry guidance.
- Assess how regulatory trends may affect business strategy, operating models, products, or customer propositions.
- Benchmark regulatory practices and identify opportunities to strengthen the organization's regulatory framework.
- Develop regulatory alerts, newsletters, briefings, and communications for relevant stakeholders.

- Support regulatory training and awareness programs for employees and management.
- Develop guidance materials, FAQs, regulatory summaries, and training content.
- Explain complex regulatory requirements clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with Risk and Compliance teams to incorporate regulatory requirements into risk and control frameworks.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit on regulatory risks, audit findings, and remediation requirements.
- Support Finance, Operations, Technology, Product, HR, Procurement, and Commercial teams on regulatory matters affecting their activities.
- Assess regulatory requirements associated with third-party providers, intermediaries, agents, and strategic partners.
- Support regulatory due diligence for new markets, partnerships, transactions, and business relationships.
- Maintain accurate regulatory records, correspondence, approvals, submissions, commitments, and evidence.
- Ensure regulatory documentation is appropriately controlled, versioned, traceable, and accessible.
- Monitor regulatory reporting obligations and coordinate timely and accurate submissions where applicable.
- Support the development of regulatory reporting calendars, ownership frameworks, and submission controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve regulatory processes through technology, automation, data management, and workflow optimization.
- Evaluate regulatory technology and information-management solutions that improve regulatory monitoring and implementation.
- Develop regulatory dashboards, management information, and reporting for senior leadership.
- Track regulatory KPIs, implementation progress, obligations, findings, risks, and emerging issues.
- Manage regulatory projects, regulatory-change programs, licensing initiatives, and compliance-enhancement projects.

Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have strong experience in regulatory affairs, regulatory compliance, regulatory advisory, compliance consulting, licensing, supervisory engagement, or regulatory risk management, preferably within financial services, banking, insurance, fintech, healthcare, technology, energy, professional services, or other highly regulated environments.
