Kingpin is an AI-native business development agency helping consumer brands win retail accounts. Our platform finds the right retailers, reaches their buyers and turns conversations into orders.
We’re hiring an engineer to own our backend and infrastructure end to end, working directly with the CTO and CEO. As we grow, you’ll help build and lead the engineering team.
You’ll own:
• Go services powering prospect discovery, enrichment, email sequencing, payments and AI agents.
• AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, security and reliability.
• Email sending infrastructure, deliverability and provider integrations.
• Architecture decisions, code reviews and releases through to production.
You’ll bring:
• 4+ years building and running production backend systems. Go strongly preferred.
• Hands-on AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and API design experience.
• Ownership of deployments, incidents and third-party integrations.
• Daily use of AI agents for research, implementation and review.
• Clear written English. Email deliverability experience is a strong plus.
You spot problems early, take initiative and follow through. You’re comfortable with changing priorities, communicate progress without being chased and move fast while protecting payments and customer data. Done means deployed, verified and working for customers.
Your first 90 days: take ownership of the backend and infrastructure, improve deliverability, strengthen monitoring and document how everything runs.
