Role Description The Senior Hairdresser is a full-time, on-site role based at Caya in Doha, Qatar. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality hair services, including cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments, in line with brand standards and guest expectations. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with guests to understand their preferences, recommending suitable styles and services, and ensuring a personalized, luxury experience. The Senior Hairdresser oversees service quality, supports junior team members through guidance and coaching, and maintains a clean, safe, and well-organized salon environment. The role also involves staying updated on trends, using professional products correctly, following health and safety regulations, and actively contributing to guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications
- Professional hairdressing skills, including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair treatments, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in client consultation, service personalization, and delivering a luxury guest experience.
- Knowledge of hair care products, tools, hygiene standards, and salon health and safety best practices.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior stylists and contributing to training and skills development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse guests and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings, in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Formal certification or diploma in hairdressing or cosmetology from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience in upscale salons, hotels, or spa environments; experience in luxury or lifestyle brands is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; additional languages commonly spoken in the region are a plus.
