Job Overview
The Senior Architect supports architectural design review and technical coordination across the company’s hospitality portfolio. The role checks layouts, drawings and technical submissions against project briefs, local codes, municipality requirements and design intent. It works closely with consultants and the other disciplines, helps move statutory submissions through to approval, and makes sure design comments are tracked and closed out so projects stay on time and to standard.
Job Summary
- Support architectural design review and technical coordination across the hospitality portfolio.
- Assess layouts, drawings and technical submissions against project briefs, applicable codes, municipality requirements and design intent.
- Identify discrepancies and propose practical design improvements.
- Coordinate with consultants and relevant disciplines.
- Assist with statutory submissions and approvals.
- Maintain design review comment logs, track technical deliverables, and follow up on the close-out of comments.
Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in architectural design and technical coordination, preferably including hospitality projects.
Education and Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, preferably with PMP certification.
- Strong proficiency in architectural design review, space planning, design development, statutory compliance, technical drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of interior finishes, construction details, and architectural interfaces with structural and MEP disciplines.
- Ability to identify design discrepancies and recommend practical solutions.
- Effective coordination, communication, documentation and follow-up skills.
Software
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Rhino, Lumion, PDF drawing review and markup, MS Office and document control tools.
