Position: Staff Ruby Engineer
Type: Contract
Compensation: $20 - $75/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design and architect robust, scalable systems and services using Ruby and Rails
- Lead the development of APIs and service-oriented architectures to enable seamless integrations
- Drive performance optimization efforts across applications and databases
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions
- Establish and uphold best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence
Requirements
- Have expert proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Have extensive experience in system design and architecture for mission-critical applications
- Have advanced skills in relational and non-relational database design
- Have a proven track record of performance optimization and scalability improvements
- Have a strong background in API design and service-oriented architecture
- Demonstrate mentorship abilities and team leadership experience
