Piper Companies is seeking a Project Scheduler to join a leading organization within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry for a contract opportunity based in Clayton, NC. The Project Scheduler will partner with a major capital project team, providing owner-side schedule oversight, evaluating project performance, and identifying risks that could impact key delivery milestones on a large-scale construction initiative.
Responsibilities of the Project Scheduler include:
- Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule that combines contractor activities, owner deliverables, interface milestones, and critical project deadlines.
- Evaluate contractor schedule submissions, ensuring logic ties, sequencing, activity durations, and milestone forecasts align with project requirements.
- Verify reported progress through collaboration with project stakeholders and field teams while assessing schedule accuracy and completion forecasts.
- Analyze critical path activities, float trends, schedule variances, and potential delays, providing recommendations for mitigation and recovery.
- Prepare schedule dashboards, look-ahead reports, and scenario analyses to support decision-making and improve overall project execution.
Qualifications for the Project Scheduler include:
- * 5+ years of project scheduling experience supporting large capital construction or industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and challenging contractor schedules on behalf of an owner or project management team.
- Strong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM), schedule forecasting, progress measurement, and schedule risk analysis.
- Proficiency with project scheduling platforms such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Compensation for the Project Scheduler:Salary Range: $135,000-$155,000/year (USD)
