Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified and motivated Procurement & Tendering Engineer with 3–7 years of experience to join our Head Office team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, preparing tender submissions, conducting cost estimations, evaluating suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining project quality and budget requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesTendering & Estimation
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for construction and finishing projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and verify BOQ quantities.
- Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyze quotations and prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets.
- Coordinate with the technical and commercial teams to prepare competitive tender submissions.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering alternatives.
Procurement & Subcontracting
- Manage procurement activities for construction materials, finishing works, and subcontracted packages.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive prices and favorable commercial terms.
- Prepare purchase orders (POs), subcontract agreements, and related procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely material deliveries and subcontractor mobilization.
- Maintain and update approved supplier and subcontractor databases.
- Monitor procurement schedules, material costs, and budget compliance.
- Follow up on supplier and subcontractor performance, delivery schedules, and contractual commitments.
Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil (Structural) or Architectural Engineering.
* 3–7 years of relevant experience* in procurement, tendering, and cost estimation within the construction industry.
* Previous experience in general contracting and high-end finishing projects is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, BOQs, and market pricing.
* Proven experience in supplier sourcing, subcontractor evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
* Good understanding of construction contracts and procurement procedures.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and procurement packages while meeting deadlines.
